The two deep-seating collections arriving late 2026 spent the better part of a year as drawings. Seat heights argued in quarter inches. Back angles mocked up in cardboard before a single board was cut. Lead designer Leigh Baron drew, redrew, and rendered each piece to scale so the first prototype would arrive as a faithful translation of the studio's intent — not an approximation of it.
Hamptons came from a porch brief: a higher back, a deeper cushion, proportions drawn for the way people actually sit on a summer evening. Lisbon answered a different question entirely — keep the silhouette of traditional deep seating, the curved back and familiar arm, and rebuild the bones underneath in powder-coated aluminum with hand-woven wicker back panels. Between first sketch and released drawing, each collection crossed the studio wall a dozen times — to the partner factories, to dealers who will specify it, and back.
